Terminally differentiated, keratinised medullary TEC derived from AIRE+ cells; includes cells of Hassall's corpuscles.

Cell Ontology : medullary thymic epithelial cell type 3 · CL:0009073 (correspondance exacte) — A thymic medullary epithelial cell considered to be a post-AIRE cell. This group of AIRE-mTECs is heterogeneous and also includes mTECs within Hassall's Corpuscles.
